ForeverForests

Protect a tree. Leave a legacy.

Whether for yourself, a loved one, or in memory—your tree lives on in a protected New England forest forever.

How it works

A living tree protected in your honor, with a permanent record of your name and message—etched in both the forest and time.

By adopting a single tree, you help fund the permanent protection of the entire forest. Each adoption creates a public, unchangeable digital record—linking you to your tree, forever.

The Process

Choose a tree
Select a tree to represent your memory or theirs.

Create a permanent record
Your name, message, and tree are encoded onto a permanent, public archive.

Your physical tree and digital record are connected
A small QR tag on the tree links to your digital record.

Receive a Certificate
Your certificate will include your trees QR code and affirm you as the protector.

Track Your Tree
Watch your legacy grow—see its carbon benefit increase every year.

FAQ

Where is the forest?

The forest is located in Western Massachusetts.

How much does it cost?

It costs $99. This includes your tree, permanent record, and physical certificate.

What is a conservation easement?

A conservation easement is a legal restriction that prevents development and logging of the forest.

How is the permanent record created?

The record is created on an open-source decentralized protocol that uses blockchain technology. This means no one can ever edit or delete the record, including us. Additionally, if ForeverForests disappeared, your record would still persist.

Can I visit my tree in person?

In an effort to allow these forests to grow undisturbed, visits are not allowed.

Why's it important?

New England’s forests store 4.2 billion tons of CO₂e—but only 4% are permanently protected. Your adoption helps change that—one tree, one forest, and one legacy at a time.
